I'll be a doing a talk at Out There! store in Calgary on Sunday February 19th. The theme is 'Tacking Big Distances', so I'll be chatting about how to prep for running ultras of 100km plus, and of course with all Albertan ultra runners now starting to gear up for Canadian Death Race in August I'll be chatting about quite a few specifics to prep for that race in particular.
Come along at 5pm, I'll keep the talk short so you have lots of chances to ask questions and also to do a little Montrail and Mountain Hardwear shopping (and anything else in the store too!). There could even be the odd door prize or two :)

Running The CDR as my first Ultra this year, really wish i could make it to your Talk! Have Fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Jeremy, it's an awesome course and Grand Cache is such a great community. Practice power hiking as some big hills and prepare your quads for some downhill pounding. There are also some big distances between aid stations so get used to carrying quite a lot of fluids in a hydration pack, oh - and poles are well worth it on legs 2 and 4. Hope that is a few quick and useful tips!
